I will forever critique people who throw their fame in peoples faces by buying bling, prancing around shamelessly self promoting, and taking non artistic approaches to their work in the entertainment industry. If i see another interview of him stumbling to explain a reason for why hes doing what hes doing, what the songs about ect (boyfriend was a perfect example and the music video was a materialistic promotion), im going to flip my shit. He is the poster child of a manufactured pop star who’s record label controls him. He speaks about MJ as a inspiration yet does exactly the opposite of what Michael was about. His million dollar car collection, bling, ect. (he is totally entitled to those objects, naturally its his earnings) but the point is, when in a position culturally like that its not about the fame. Its about influence. Its about the art. Its about the talent. Not only is his lukewarm pop music rejected by the talent and headliners of the industry (he has 0 Grammys) but the conceptual side of it is even lower then pieces by the queen of lukewarm herself, Katy Perry. On the positive side, his fiscal donations towards education are applauded, but that’s a different matter.
However EVERY. Single. Song. has been about attracting teen girls so they can dream of his cock ramming them as they get their first hormonal urge. That is the epitome of lukewarm. Overall, i feel the fame is taking its tole on him as he strives to remain relevant, as if hes to afraid to evolve from the young female fan base (i have yet to hear music or see visual images on anything besides young women). Inevitably he needs to break off of the Robot teen boy and become his own icon. Or at least, prove to the masses that hes a real vocal artist who can write and compose music that will change or contribute to culture.
This is only in regards to his want of “talent icon”. His career his Fame. Grow it your way, but don’t complain when the talent awards don’t bloom on your branch.
